In a large bowl, add in the bananas and mash them with a fork or a masher until they are soft yet slightly chunky. Add in the vanilla essence and eggs and beat well.
Add in the sugar and mix it well, then add in the butter and mix well again.
Add in the flour and baking soda gradually so as not to form any lumps and mix well. Pour this onto a loaf pan lined with baking paper and dusted with flour. Optionally, you can add some almonds to garnish.
Place it in the oven for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Insert a toothpick to check if it’s cooked or not.
Once it’s cooked, put it on a cooling rack to cool for 15 minutes. After it’s cooled down, cut it into multiple even slices and serve.
